How to setup zoobly locator features?

The Locator feature helps you instantly track your child’s device location, create safe zones around familiar places and get notified when they arrive or leave the place. You can also view their location history in your parent dashboard anytime.

Zoobly's Locator feature works only when location permissions for the app are enabled on both the parent and child devices.

Here's how you can use it:

Set Up the Parent App to locate Your family

The Family Locator lets you see the latest location of each child and any co-parents added to your account.

To see your child’s location:

1. Open the zoobly parent app.
2. Select your child’s name at the top of the screen.
3. Tap Locator to view their current location (if online) or their last known location (if offline).

To view all family members together:

• Open the zoobly parent app.
• Tap the menu (☰) icon at the top left.
• Select Family Locator to see everyone on one map.

If you do not see your child’s location, make sure location permissions are turned ON and set to Always allowed for both your device and your child’s device.

Share Your Location with Your Child

You can share your own location as well so your child feels safe knowing where you are.

To do this:

1. Open Family Locator.
2. Tap the Family Share button on the map.

3. Choose whether to share your current or live location, then tap Send.

   
   

Get Directions to Your Child’s Location

Need to reach your child quickly? Go to Locator Menu > Directions.

Zoobly will open your default Maps app with the route to their location.

Mark Safe Zones with Geo-Fencing

You can mark specific places — like Home, School, or Others to get alerts when your child enters or leaves those zones.

1. Tap the map and drop a pin at the location or type the address to mark a place.

   Choose a tag (Home, School, Dangerous, or Others).

   • You can save one address each for Home and School.
2. Adjust the boundary — default is 100 meters, but you can extend it up to 1000 meters by holding and dragging the radius.
3. Tap Save to confirm.
4. Tap Show Saved Places to see all your marked locations.
