What is safe mode on Android and how to turn it off?
What Is Safe Mode?
Safe Mode is a built-in troubleshooting tool on Android devices. When the device is in Safe Mode, all third-party apps (like zoobly) are disabled. Only system apps and settings are active. This helps you find out if a specific app is causing problems.
Android OS controls Safe Mode — no app, including zoobly, can override it.
What Can You Do in Safe Mode?
In Safe Mode, you can:
- Identify and remove apps that may be causing issues.
- Clear cache and app data for troubleshooting.
- Restart your device to return to normal mode.
How to Troubleshoot in Safe Mode?
Even though third-party apps are disabled, your phone’s settings, cache, and storage options are still available.
Here’s what you can do:
1. Clear Cache
Helps remove temporary files that may cause app errors.
Go to Settings > Apps > Select the app > Storage & cache > Clear cache.
2. Clear App Data/Storage
This resets the app to its original state and can fix deeper issues.
Go to Settings > Apps > Select the app > Storage & cache > Clear storage.
This will delete your app’s user data, and you’ll need to set it up again afterwards.
3. Uninstall an App
If an app is causing the problem, you can remove it completely.
Go to Settings > Apps > Select the app > Uninstall.
How to Exit Safe Mode?
If your device is stuck in Safe Mode, the simplest fix is to restart the device. Press and hold the Power button > Tap Restart.
Some devices allow you to exit directly from from notification panel. Swipe down > Tap the Safe Mode Enabled notification > Confirm to turn it off.
Zoobly Tip 💡
Safe Mode is only temporary. Once you restart your device, zoobly will resume its protection and keep your child’s digital world safe and balanced.
